Probably the best Chowder and Oysters in Town, with the exception that the place gets too crowded sometimes and the hostesses tend to be a bit slow, the ambiance is great, very friendly environment at the Bar and great Caesars!

If you’re looking for fresh Seafood, in a relaxed environment, this is the place!Food 5

Hands down one of the most fun nights I’ve ever had at a restaurant with a friend! The waiters were all HOT and really attentive, they know how to read their customers to see what kind of interaction they are okay with and they go with it. I really enjoyed my first oyster experience – they taught me how to do it correctly, and all the other food was great too.

    Can’t recommend this place enough.Food 5

I completely adore Rodney’s. Hands down the best oyster bar I’ve ever been to. Prior to discovering Rodney’s I was forced to look forward to trips to the Island to visit Ferris’ Oysters, which is good, but Rodney’s is better! It can get pricey if you go at peek hours, buy if you go during “low tide” (3pm-6pm daily), the prices are significantly cheaper ($1.50/shuck, appys for under $10). Try the deep fried oysters and mussels – they are to die for. As for service, I’ve heard people complain about the servers being rude or inattentive, but I’ve only ever had really great service.Food 5

Rodney’s is my favorite restaurant in Vancouver. When I say favorite I refer to the experience which is absolutely no slight on the food.

The food first…the oyster selection is phenomenal, the crab cakes just plain kick ass, the other dishes are outstanding. The chowder is the best in Vancouver IMO. I wish I could tell you about more than the chowder, oysters and crab cakes but I have yet to order anything but that in that order. I have tasted other dishes but ever had one of my own.

The service is awesome. They are prompt, efficient and a little lippy (some more than others) which just adds to it.

What really makes the place is the atmosphere especially downstairs (main level)…loud music, snappy servers and bartenders, lively crowded tables and everyone getting into it. But not pretentious or full of douche bags like that other place…Joe watchamacallits…

Damn I feel like heading there now…low tide starts at 3pm their version of happy hour.

3 drinks, chowder, 6 oysters and crab cakes will set you back about $65 with tip outside happy hour and well worth it. By the way if I am on the high side saying it costs $65 probably underestimating how many drinks I have when I am there…Food 5

I always enjoy myself at Rodneys every time I go there. Probably the best staff and most fun you can have in a restaurant. It has a phenomenal selection of oysters, not to mention the best oyster special at 4pm to 6pm during low tide. They also make the best fried oysters I have ever had. This place is on the top of my list.Food 4

Rodney’s is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Vancouver. I am a true die-hard seafood fan and Rodney’s always seem to top my “most craved” list for a number of delicious reasons. Their Scallop Pasta is so good. I have no idea what they put in it, but the rose sauce and the perfectly cooked pasta always hits the spot. The raw oysters are always fresh and the best selection of sauces and toppings. And you can’t say anything bad about their pan fried oysters! Perfected with not too much batter and not dripping in oil.

All in all, I always have a great time at Rodney’s Oyster Bar. Can’t beat the great meal and spicy Ceaser!Food 5
