Overall we weren’t that impressed with Kaide Sushi Bar. The food was good, but the portions were quite small for what we paid. Definitely expensive for sushi, but we were too lazy to go anywhere else. Presentation of the sushi and salads were quite unique.
I don’t know what Cameron was talking about but Tom is the Bomb! This place rocks my world. He has the best variety for vegetarian rolls in the city. For this price you can’t go wrong. shatiki mushroom sushi, special chop roll, the tofu salad and his miso soup are staples of mine. I never get tired of eating his sushi. He has a really interesting dynamite roll, instead of deep fried prawn he puts in crunchy cereal…it is awesome. The ingredients are fresh, I see the fish truck daily, he uses organic, non-dyed ginger. Tom cares about the food and his customers. With so many sushi restaurants in town it says a lot when one place attracts so many regulars.Food 5
